Not to shabby today. Even with the wedding, I managed to write about 300 words. I started working on Chapter 6 for Prince of Slaves! It’s turning into something a bit different than I had originally thought, but I still like it.
Originally, I had planned to write shorter scenes for Prince of Slaves and have people vote each week on the story. Then I could go back and flesh out the other paths that weren’t explored. I might still do so, but probably not. Prince of Slaves is becoming a lot more episodic in nature, and I think I like it that way. That being said, after Prince of Slave, I might try writing another story in which people vote, but I would post about 1 scene a day. They would be about as long as these NaNoWriMo posts. Quick to read, and people could still vote. It also would be less time consuming overall and would therefore leave more time for actually writing my novel and such.
That being said, tomorrow is the 10th which will mark the first 3rd of NaNoWriMo over. That kind of makes squirm. I’m not where I want to be, but, given the current life circumstances, I don’t think I’m doing too bad.
I still think I can reach my goal of 25,000 words, although it does seam a bit daunting. If only I could sleep and write at the same time!
But keep writing, for you have a story to tell that’s worth the effort.
In God’s love,
