It has been taught that an Idol is whatever we love more than God. But we cannot know what we love more than God without first examining what we fear more than Him.
Our God is three persons in one. After I learned to love the Father and the Son, I asked the Holy Spirit to also reveal Himself to me. And He did.
It can be easy to fall into the belief that because God considers us his children, our lives will be full of pleasantries. We are blessed by God, aren’t we? But perhaps that blessing takes a different shape then what we would like
Did you know, according to Romans 6:16, you’re a slave? But we get to choose who we serve and when we serve God in all that we do, we become His children.
Life gets hard, and in these times where the world and subsequently God doesn't seem to make sense, we need to wrestle like Jacob did. When we do so, We'll find God's blessing.
